If you like sweet whisky cocktails then you’ll love this list. It’s all about chocolate. From dark cocoa liqueur to creamy chocolate milk, we’re using all the best ingredients to make up our favourite chocolate whisky drinks.

Each made with The Glenlivet single malt whisky, these boozy chocolatey cocktails are sweet, rich and deliciously creamy. Let’s get shaking.

Chocolate Orange Old Fashioned

Put a chocolate twist on a much loved classic with the Chocolate Orange Old Fashioned. This rich and creamy cocktail is for those who prefer things sweet. Chocolate liqueur and orange syrup are what bring this mouth-watering combo to the forefront. Balanced with Angostura Bitters and smooth, scotch whisky.

It’s simple to make and beautifully elegant to serve. The perfect after dinner drink to surprise and delight guests. Take a sip and enjoy a delicious moment.

Spiced Spey Coffee

Spice up cocktail hour with our Spiced Spey Coffee, made with sweet, smooth single malt from the wild lands of Speyside. This recipe is packed with contrasting flavours that just work. From rich, strong coffee, to dark liquid chocolate. Plus a small pink of cayenne pepper to bring everything together with a kick.

The Glenlivet 12 Year Old then adds a combination of sweet, soft and creamy notes to the cocktail. Finished with a dollop of cold unsweetened cream and shavings of chocolate.

Mississippi Mudslide

The Mudslide is a classic cocktail. And it’s seriously indulgent. Coffee liqueur, whisky cream and whipped cream are mixed together with whisky and date syrup to sweeten. How you do it is up to you. Whether in a blender or cocktail shaker.

And if it’s a chocolate shake you’re after, all you need to do is swap out the coffee, or add in chocolate liquid. Mississippi style. When it comes to toppings, this is where you can really get your chocolate on. Chocolate cream, chocolate sprinkles, chocolate flakes – nothing is too much.

Celebracion

Move over eggnog. This Central American take adds a tropical kick in our whisky rompope cocktail. Creamy, spiced and with a kick of cold brew, it’s the perfect recipe for mixing up chocolate style.

Swap coffee for mocha or add in some liquid chocolate to sweeten up this delicious drink. The flavours of which work wonderfully with The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve, our smooth single malt part finished in barrels that previously held Caribbean Rum.

Scotch Milk Punch

A silky scotch cocktail, for smooth occasions. Our Scotch Milk Punch is traditionally made with whisky, sugar and milk – sprinkled with a dash of nutmeg. But there’s plenty of variations to make your own.

Add liquid chocolate to your recipe or make your milk of choice the chocolate kind. It’s delicious served cold but you can also heat things up to make a new kind of winter warmer.

Whisky Hot Chocolate

Hot cocoa isn’t just for kids. We love warming up with this childhood classic. Just with an added dash of scotch whisky of course. Drink it at Christmas, or drink it year round. It’s good enough for any season.

Sprinkle your Whisky Hot Chocolate with cinnamon for a bit of seasonal spice. Or top with squirty cream and chocolate sprinkles. When it comes to whisky, you’ll want to pour in something that complements the rich chocolate milk. We use The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve, our extra smooth single malt with a long, creamy finish.

Scotch Whisky Coffee

Our Scotch Whisky Coffee is a Scottish take on an Irish Coffee. But feel free to go one step further and make it a chocolatey serve. The recipe adds whisky and freshly brewed coffee to boiling water and brown sugar to make this hot classic. And there’s room for chocolate liquor in there too.

The perfect whisky digestif, this hot cocktail is where you can get your caffeine and chocolate fix. Serve with a chocolate truffle for extra sweetness on the side.

Coco Noche

We reckon this tropical whisky cocktail would work perfectly with a white chocolate twist. The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve and coconut cream mix together to make a fruity, creamy serve. Sweetened with almond and allspice.

Swap milk to the chocolate kind or add in white chocolate liquor and sip it chilled. A great choice for sweet summer drinks – or pretending your beach side.
