How to drink a Whisky Sour
A Whisky Sour is served ‘up’ meaning it’s not traditionally served over ice. Instead, the mixture is shaken until chilled before being strained into a rocks glass. But if you want ice, have ice. It’s your Whisky Sour after all.NOTES

What does a Whisky Sour taste like?
A classic Whisky Sour is the perfect balance of tangy, sweet and light. The sugar syrup brings a caramelly taste, balanced by the sour citrus of fresh lemon juice. Add The Glenlivet 12 Year Old scotch whisky and you’ll notice warm, smooth spice and creamy, fruity notes.
What’s the best whisky for a Whisky Sour?
Choosing a whisky for a Whisky Sour is an easy decision. What do you like? Because of the drink’s simplicity, you can really taste the individual notes of the whisky. So you’re going to want a smooth spirit. And obviously, we think scotch is best.
We use The Glenlivet 12 Year Old to elevate the cocktail’s fruity, sweet character. It’s a distinctly smooth expression with a delicate yet complex flavour. But if you fancy something different, why not try it with The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve for a more tropical twist.
