THE GLENLIVET:
THE TWELVE
ELEMENTS
LIVE NOW
AGED 50 YEARS
The luxurious, rare expression, aged and crafted by a long line of makers, unites two carefully selected casks, each matured independently for 50 years to create a unique whisky of remarkable depth and character. Chosen for their distinct qualities, the first fill bourbon barrel offers caramel sweetness and honey-comb notes, while the re-fill hogshead imparts richer toasted oak and ginger spice undertones.

TWO CASKS OF WHISKY, LAID DOWN IN 1974
One first-fill American oak barrel and one refill American oak hogshead.
NOSE
A medley of fruitiness with top notes of soft red apple, maraschino cherries, fresh pineapple and homemade apricot jam combining with stewed pears baked into a crumble. The fruit is balanced by marzipan and ground cinnamon with a hint of milk chocolate honeycomb.
PALATE
A burst of juicy apricot and charred pineapple is followed by a wave of lavish caramel and dark chocolate mousse. This sweet introduction is succeeded by a layer of toasted oak, nutty praline and ginger spice with a subtle hint of nutmeg.
