Whisky Hot Chocolate

Nothing warms the cockles on a winter's evening like a cup of hot chocolate. Except when you add The Glenlivet scotch of course. This whisky hot chocolate drink is a favourite throughout the colder seasons, sprinkled with cinnamon, chocolate sprinkles or whichever toppers takes your fancy.

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients Unit
The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve
50 ml
Milk of Choice
250 ml
Cocoa Powder
1 tbsp
Soft Brown Sugar
1 tsp
Chocolate of Choice (Finely Chopped)
25 g
Cinnamon (For Garnish)
Sprinkle

METHOD

  1. To a pan, add the Milk and gently heat (don’t allow to boil).
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients and lightly whisk to dissolve all components into the Milk.
  3. Remove from the heat.
  4. Separately, add The Glenlivet Founders Reserve to a heated mug.
  5. Add the hot chocolate mixture over the whisky and stir lightly.
  6. Garnish with squirty cream, extra finely chopped chocolate and cinnamon.
  7. Serve.
