Everyone has a day of the year they just can’t wait for – whether it’s seeing their family’s faces light up over Christmas dinner, or bringing their friends together for a birthday celebration. For us, it’s World Whisky Day.
We know that whisky isn’t like other drinks – every sip will be savoured, every scent and flavour will be remembered, and the memory of each occasion will linger longer than even the most triumphant finish. From our youngest heritage whisky, The Glenlivet 12 Year Old, to the precious 50 year old Winchester Collection Vintage 1967, we strive to push the boundaries of possibility in the field of whisky-making. This World Whisky Day we want to pay tribute to some of our favourite expressions and the memories they have helped to create.
12 Year Old
Smooth, balanced and fruity, this spirited whisky might be one of our younger expressions, but our 12 Year Old has character enough to outclass many older whiskies. With strong pineapple notes and a smooth, creamy finish, this classic whisky is an invitation to indulge and a fitting dram for celebrating World Whisky Day.
18 Year Old
Balanced, rich and elegant, our 18 Year Old has long since set the standard against which single malts are measured. Matured in American Oak and ex-sherry casks for exceptional flavor, this award- winning special occasion whisky sings with spicy complexity.
The Glenlivet Code
An experiment in the boundaries of whisky-making, this enigmatic whisky flies in the face of expectation to put the focus purely on flavour. Released with no tasting notes, no cask details and no age statement, The Glenlivet Code sent some of the best noses in the world into a frenzy in their attempts to unlock its flavours.
25 Year Old
Among the rarest of our heritage expressions, our 25 Year Old is batch-produced from our finest 25 year old whiskies and finished in ex-sherry butts, for an intense, silky and elegant whisky with a long finish and exceptionally rich and complex nose. The ultimate special occasion marker.
The Winchester Collection Vintage 1967
The undisputed jewel of our collection, Vintage 1967 is Master Distiller Alan Winchester’s final expression. A true passion project which is testament to Alan’s craft and expertise, this extraordinary 50 year old whisky is so rare, that only 150 bottles of Vintage 1967 have been released. History in liquid form.
