A chocolate Mudslide twist

Our classic Mudslide recipe calls for coffee liqueur but if a chocolate shake is what you’re after, simply swap it out for chocolate liquid, Mississippi Mudslide style. Go to town with chocolate cream, chocolate sprinkles and a flake garnish for extra sweetness. There’s no such thing as too much.

Mudslide garnishes

Whipped cream aside, you can garnish your Mudslide any way you like. Go traditional with chocolate sprinkles or mix things up with crushed cookie, a mint sprig or dusting of cinnamon. And don’t forget the syrups. We love a drizzle of chocolate sauce but maple, honey and ginger syrup are great too.

How to make a frozen Mudslide with ice cream

Want it extra chilled and extra creamy? Whizz together a round of frozen Mudslides. It’s a cocktail meets dessert, the ultimate mix for a hot summer’s evening. Swap cream for vanilla ice cream or crushed ice to make a frozen Mudslide – you won’t regret it. And for an even richer flavour, try chocolate or coffee flavoured ice cream.

The ultimate Christmas drink

Move over Eggnog. The Mudslide is this season’s best festive drink. Make it extra chocolatey, extra creamy or extra Christmasy – it’s yours for the tasting. Go nuts with a chopped hazelnut topping and blend of Nutella. Sprinkle over Oreos and whizz in some cookie cream. Drizzle over salted caramel sauce or combine chocolate and coffee for a mocha flavoured mix. There’s plenty of ways to make the Mudslide your own.
