Storm
Ginger is one of the world's oldest spices, known for its health giving properties as well as its versatility. Its heat and refreshing zing make it a great partner to The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve. The Golden Storm is a drink that is refreshing and great for summer afternoons.
Ingredients:
- 50ml The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve
- 20ml lemon juice
- 25ml golden ginger syrup*
- 120ml soda water
Method:
- Stir the first three ingredients together in a tall glass with cubed ice and top up with soda water. Garnish with a sliced ginger and pieces of crystallised ginger.
- This drink can also be served as a winter warmer, simply mix the first three ingredients in a heatproof glass or mug and add boiling water instead on soda. Stir, inhaling the fantastic aromas of whisky, lemon and ginger.
- *GINGER GOLDEN SYRUP
- Peel a teaspoon of ginger root and blend the peeled ginger in a food processor. The juice should be stirred with an equal volume of golden syrup, until it is thoroughly combined.
