Last year, men around the country displayed some serious plaid - on their commute, at the office and during power lunches - to raise money for a great cause. Kilt Day was celebrated during Tartan Week, the annual celebration of Scottish heritage and its important cultural contributions – from kilts to golf to The Glenlivet.
Following last year’s success, Wear a Kilt to Work Day will again support Direct Relief International, a nonprofit organization that provides critical healthcare support to the world’s neediest people. Participating employers will donate, at their discretion, for each employee who wears a kilt on April 3, 2008. The Glenlivet will also make a special donation for every on-air journalist and public personality who rises to the challenge. Check out all of our past years’ footage in the video section.
