Direct Relief International
For the third year, every cent of the proceeds raised by Wear a Kilt to Work Day will benefit Direct Relief International, a nonprofit, non-political organization that provides essential health supplies, medicine and equipment to the world’s most impoverished people. Kilt Day and The Glenlivet are proud to have raised thousands for the charity and look forward to another successful year. Established in 1948, Direct Relief International has provided aid to more than 150 million people worldwide who have been affected by natural disasters, epidemics and other serious crises. Direct Relief is rated a “four star” charity by Charity Navigator and Forbes magazine named it one of the most efficient nonprofit organizations in the country.
