The Glenlivet Gathering
Calling all Scotch aficionados – 150 spaces are available in the second annual once-in-a-lifetime trip to Scotland called The Glenlivet Gathering. The Glenlivet Gathering is a three-day excursion into the heart of Speyside, the source of The Glenlivet – for a ‘behind the curtain’ peek into the world of single malt Scotch whisky. Guests are solely responsible for arranging and paying for their airfare, accommodations, federal, state and local taxes, and all other incidental expenses, but once they make their way to Speyside, all tours, meals, classes and outings will be provided. Guests are required to stay at The Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort in order to ensure a seamless execution of events.
Space is limited to 150 total invitees, and slots for this trip are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and only until spaces are filled. The Glenlivet Gathering is intended to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Society members – for this reason, guests who attended past trips will not be eligible to attend this year. Invited guests may not sell or otherwise transfer their slot, or otherwise substitute other persons in their place. Federal, state and local taxes, charges and incidental costs, if any, are the sole responsibility of the invitee.
Participation is restricted to legal residents of the United States 21 years of age or older. Due to state law restrictions, residents of California and Utah are unable to participate, and Tennessee residents may not apply for a spot via the Internet.
To apply for a spot for The Glenlivet Gathering, visit http://www.glenlivetgathering.com, click on The Glenlivet Gathering Application banner, and answer the questions on the Application Page. Tennessee residents and others who wish not to use the Internet may fax their name, date of birth, address, e-mail address (if any), and daytime telephone number to The Glenlivet Gathering c/o The Thomas Collective at (212) 229-2482. Multiple applications submitted by a single person are void. The application process will begin on March 19, 2008, and conclude at 11:59 p.m. E.T. on May 31, 2008 (the “Registration Period”). “Valid Applications” are applications received during the Registration Period that otherwise comply with these Official Rules.
Between May 2, 2007 and May 4, 2007, space on The Glenlivet Gathering Guest List will be compiled from applications on a first-come, first-served basis, until all slots are filled. Each prospective guest will be notified by email or telephone using the information provided in such applicant’s application in the order they are received. The prospective guest will then have three (3) business days from the first day of receipt of notification to accept the invitation, book hotel accommodations and flights to Scotland, provide a photocopy of a government-issued identification, and sign and have notarized an Affidavit of Eligibility and Publicity/Liability Release (“Affidavit”). A non-response by a prospective guest, any failure by any prospective guest to secure flights and accommodation and provide the Affidavit, or Pernod Ricard USA, LLC’s non-receipt of notification or of any of the foregoing within the specified three (3) business days will result in forfeiture the prospective guest’s spot. Guests may invite a maximum of three (3) guests of their own, but any such guests must also be over 21 years of age and sign the Affidavit. Pernod Ricard USA is not responsible for unsuccessful efforts to notify selected participants.
By submitting an application and/or accepting a place in the guest list, each invitee agrees to release, defend, indemnify and hold Pernod Ricard USA, LLC and its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, fulfillment companies, dealers, retailers, employees, directors, shareholders and agents (collectively, “Affiliates”), harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, losses and liabilities of any nature whatsoever, which winner may now or hereafter be entitled to assert, including but not limited to, any death, injury, loss of enjoyment or other harm or loss of any nature whatsoever caused or contributed to by applying for or participating in The Glenlivet Gathering and/or in connection with the use or misuse of an invitation or guest slot, participation in any Glenlivet Gathering-related activities, and/or claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy.
