The Glenlivet Gathering
9 - 4 p.m. Guests arrive.
5:30 p.m. Twilight cocktail party at the Aviemore Train Station platform to welcome guests and kick off the weekend's festivities.
6:30 - 9:30 p.m. Dinner aboard The Strathspey Steam Train, a 19th century restored steam engine, which allows visitors to experience all the sights and sounds of the historic journey through the breathtaking Scottish Highlands.
9:30 p.m. Return to hotel for the evening, bar open for guests to enjoy a night-cap.
3-4 p.m. Scottish storytellers entertain guests with local folklore as they board buses and travel through Speyside to The Glenlivet Distillery.
4-6 p.m. Exclusive tour and tasting of The Glenlivet range, giving participants a never-before-seen peek into The Glenlivet Distillery.
6:30-10 p.m. Traditional Ceilidh (party) with a live Scottish band. Guests will experience the festive customs of Scottish dining, complete with dancing and the world famous "address to the Haggis."
11 p.m. Guests return to hotel for the evening, bar open for guests.
9-11 a.m. Traditional Scottish brunch at the Aviemore Highland Resort specially prepared under the direction of the president of the Scottish Chef's Association. Guests interested in purchasing a hand-made, tailored kilt have the chance to get their measurements taken.
12:30 p.m. Hike along The Smuggler's Trail (optional). Guests will embark upon the same journey made centuries before by whisky smugglers, who cunningly moved their cargo of illicit whisky by way of this historic trail.
2:30-5 p.m. Farewell luncheon at The Glenlivet Distillery where guests will be presented with a rare vintage of The Glenlivet Single Malt Scotch Whisky that is available only to attendees of The Gathering. Guests will also be given the opportunity to take photographs dressed up as old-time distillery workers.
6:00 p.m. Return to hotel and part ways.
